Are you or someone you know ready to take your skills to the next level? Look no further than Team Breckenridge Sports Club’s Big Mountain and Freeride Programs! Whether you're aiming for the competitive scene or just looking to refine your style, we've got something for everyone.
Our awesome coaches are here to mentor and guide athletes both in practice and during regional and national IFSA competitions. Don't worry if competing isn't your thing—joining our program doesn't mean you have to compete. We've got flexible options to match whatever level of commitment you're comfortable with.
We believe in fostering a strong work ethic, all-mountain etiquette, sound decision-making skills, sportsmanship, creativity, and confidence. Your athlete will dive into advanced skiing skills (like SkillsQuest), learn how to read terrain for the best line choices, gain air awareness, and master skiing smoothly through tricky spots. Plus, we integrate technical proficiencies and skill assessments into our weekly training sessions.
A Season Pass must be purchased to participate in the program.

All Mountain Rippers, where young skiers can master the art of all-mountain skiing! Whether your skier is carving those smooth turns on groomed runs or tackling more challenging terrain, our amazing coaching staff is here to help enhance their skills and grow their love for skiing.
Our program includes SkillsQuest, moguls, terrain park challenges, and skiing groomers. Skiers will track their progress, set personal goals, and advance their abilities in a structured and supportive environment. They’ll be under the guidance of our experienced and certified coaches who are super passionate about sharing their knowledge. All our coaches are certified by IFSA or USSA, so you know your skier will receive top-notch training!
We believe coaching is at the heart of what we do. Our team is dedicated to providing personalized support on all training days, empowering skiers to reach their full potential and truly thrive on the mountain.
All athletes must be capable of skiing on black terrain and should be able to link parallel turns effortlessly without resorting to a wedge. This level of proficiency is non-negotiable as it ensures they can handle the challenging courses we offer.
It is imperative that all athletes ski with poles. This is essential for maintaining balance and control, especially on more difficult slopes.
athletes must be physically prepared to ski a full day with limited breaks—approximately six hours. This stamina requirement is crucial for them to keep up with the program schedule and fully benefit from the training sessions.
Please ensure your child meets these prerequisites before continuing in the program. Your cooperation ensures a safe and productive environment for everyone involved.

U12 Specialist program is all about getting you ready for every aspect of big mountain skiing. We’ll be diving into advanced skiing skills through SkillsQuest, mastering the art of reading terrain to nail those perfect line choices, and boosting your air awareness so you can handle any tricky situations smoothly. Plus, our team is geared up to prep you for IFSA contests—exciting times ahead!
To jump right in, make sure you're comfortable with skiing all terrain on the mountain while easily linking those parallel turns. Remember, we’ll group athletes by age when it's competition time to keep things fair and fun.
Dates: December 6, 2024- End of March 2026
Training Days:
Part-time: 8:30-3:00 (Saturdays and select holiday camps)
Full-time: 8:30-3:00 (Fridays, Saturdays, select Sundays and select holiday camps)

Big Mountain Full Time program, perfect for athletes aged 12 and up who are ready to spend more time on skis. If you're looking to amp up your skills and tackle some serious terrain, this is the program for you!
Our focus is all about developing your abilities, prepping you for competitions, and helping you master those tricky lines and high-performance skiing in all kinds of conditions. You'll be training five days a week—our most comprehensive schedule yet.
You'll also get to participate in SkillsQuest, honing your skills even further. We'll kick things off with conditioning starting in September to get everyone conditioned and ready to hit the slopes.
You'll need to be comfortable skiing all mountain terrains and confidently linking parallel turns with ease.
Dates: September - April
Time: 8:30 - 3:00

The Terrain Park Team is the ultimate terrain park experience. This is a great progression for athletes who have worked through our All-Mountain Rippers program and would like to pursue more focused training for terrain park. This program will focus on the development of technical skiing skills (SkillsQuest), while ensuring that athletes have fun. Development of terrain park skills includes learning about line choice, control, style and technique.
All mountain skiing, moguls, powder etc. will be emphasized. Athletes learn all aspects of Freeride skiing in a fun, safe and highly structured setting.
All athletes must be able to comfortably ski blue & black terrain and link parallel turns with ease and ski ungroomed moderate terrain. Age requirement, based on ability, experience and coach assessment.
Dates: December 6th 2024- End of March 2025

Athletes requiring an A-Basin pass and Copper Pass will be provided purchase information upon registration. Discounted vouchers are provided to Team Breckenridge athletes in specific programs.
Big Mountain Specialists will have the benefit of pre-season conditioning training, and other training opportunities like goal-setting workshops and mental training workshops, and additional days of inspection/skiing on days preceding scheduled competitions throughout the season.
An informational meeting for families who have athletes in any of the Big Mountain programs, will be held prior to the start of the season.
Academic Athlete:
Team Breckenridge is proud to partner with Summit School District and the Peak School to serve our full time Alpine and Freeride student-athletes. Team Breckenridge believes our athletes are students first and we work with school counselors, athletes and parents to encourage academic success. We provide the most flexibility of any regional ski team, so even our full time athletes can pursue the competitive academic IBDP program at Summit High School.
All Summit Middle and High School, and Snow Peaks student-athletes wishing to ski during the school week must register as "academic athletes" with their counselors. Middle School students can do so at the beginning of the school year, while high school students must register prior to the school year. Students must meet their school's attendance and performance requirements to continue to be released for ski training.

The Director reserves the right to refund the program fee if the athlete’s skills are not strong enough or have enough experience to take part in the program.
