Academic Athlete:
Team Breckenridge is proud to partner with Summit School District and the Peak School to serve our full time Alpine and Freeride student-athletes. Team Breckenridge believes our athletes are students first and we work with school counselors, athletes and parents to encourage academic success. We provide the most flexibility of any regional ski team, so even our full time athletes can pursue the competitive academic IBDP program at Summit High School.
All Summit Middle and High School, and Snow Peaks student-athletes wishing to ski during the school week must register as "academic athletes" with their counselors. Middle School students can do so at the beginning of the school year, while high school students must register prior to the school year. Students must meet their school's attendance and performance requirements to continue to be released for ski training.
All Summit High School Academic Athletes MUST fill out this document prior to the start of the school year
The Director reserves the right to refund the program fee if the athlete’s skills are not strong enough or have enough experience to take part in the program.
** Parents are not permitted to ski with the team unless they have completed and passed their on snow training, background check, safesport and obtained a coaching license.
