Q&A with David Biblioni

Where did you grow up, what brought you to Breckenridge/Team Breck?
I was born in Spain and moved to Pennsylvania as a child. I spent my life back and forth across the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. However, I was always drawn to big mountains and alpine sports. In college I got my chance to spend more time on the rocks and snow and explore ski areas across the USA. Even though I was raised on the beach, I always dreamed of living in the mountains. I literally wanted to live on the shoulders of giants- the original witnesses to creation. After a bad accident in 2015 it was time to answer that call and move to the Rockies. My boys at the time were 4yrs old and after each day of ski school the other kids would go home but my kids would throw their skis back on for the last hour of extra time on the snow. I love getting to see them grow up in a place they love and that I had always dreamed about. In 2019 we looked for a ski team with a local feel & excellent coaching who understood our kids beyond the mountain and immediately felt a connection with Hawks and Team Breck.

Can you tell us about your background before Team Breck?
I am a successful generalist and compassionate achiever. I’ve started several businesses, worked in both private and public sector, transformed companies through enterprise solutions and strategic sales, and spent time with executives, leaders, and individual contributors of all levels coaching them to be their best/most authentic selves so they can generate the success they (and their organizations) were meant for.
One of my favorite roles since moving to Colorado was serving COMBA when I lived on the Front Range as a trail builder, Urban Trails Lead, MARCOM Director, and Executive Board Member
Aside from Team Breck, I operate a consulting company and serve faithfully at our church.

What is your vision for Team Breck?
As an active community member, and mountain sports enthusiast, I am a big fan of the year-round experience Vail Resorts and Breckenridge showcase for the world to enjoy.
I’m also a big fan of how TBK has shared that world-class experience- for 50 years! Along with Town of Breckenridge and Vail Resorts/ Epic Pass, we (altogether) own it AND owe it to our members to keep making it better by making it always reflective of our mission, vision, and values.
As TBK’s newest organizational leader, I look forward to honoring our respective legacies, investing in our long-standing partnerships/ collaborations, and compassionately challenging the status quo so that we may together develop (and grow) a Collective-Breckenridge-Experience that is Epic-for-All.
I’m really focused on keeping the family-tribe-vibe and continue building a TBK experience that is “Epic for All” by partnering closely with VR, BSR, Town of Breck, Community of Breck, Summit County Commerce, the Snow-Sports Industry- and of course on being an active voice for our TBK Members (which include athletes, their families, and Alumni).

What’s your favorite way to spend a lazy weekend?
We don’t have many of those in our house. When I’m not on my skis, you’ll either find me off-roading, camping, or on my mountain bike. I’m an adventure seeker and love to be outside with my family, friends or on my own with Carmelo (our family’s 9-year-old fur baby).
